Our COVID-19 Policy
Whilst we’re not into panic buying, we do take the COVID-19 virus seriously. We’ve taken steps to make sure our staff, students and families stay safe, and have a plan of action in the event of a lockdown, outbreak or exposure.
Our Covid-Safe Guidelines
- Students should maintain a distance of 1.5m between others and their teacher
- We recommend wearing facemasks at all times
- Students should use their own instrument, rather than borrowing one of our spare guitars
- Students should tune their own guitars wherever possible
- Any attendees should use the provided hand sanitiser upon arrival
- If a students is unwell, they should either reschedule or have their lesson via Skype
- Students are welcome to convert any lesson to be conducted via Skype
Our Lockdown Protocol
- In the event of a lockdown, all lessons will be conducted via Skype, Zoom or any other video call format that students may have.
- If a student or teacher needs to self-isolate due to any form of exposure, the lessons will be converted to online learning via Skype, Zoom or FaceTime.
- In the vast majority of cases, the regular lesson day/time can be maintained.
- Not only have we been teaching via Skype for about ten years now, but just about all of our lesson materials are online, even for students who attend lessons in-person. The difference between a Skype lesson and an in-person lesson is really quite minimal, especially if the teacher takes the right approach.
