What Is Aural?

In music, the term Aural simply refers to one’s ability to listen. We at UGA use a range of listening games and exercises to improve the student’s ability to identify sound, resulting in students being able to figure out songs, chord progressions and solos simply by listening.

This area is often overlooked by guitarists, however the top guitarists and musicians around the world all have excellent musical ears, which further emphasises it’s importance.
